How to Get Good Results from Facial Hair Removal Products

To some degree facial hair is an issue for everyone. I will admit it is a bigger deal for some people than others, though. No matter who you are though, you tweeze at least one hair regularly. That is just a fact of life.

If you are anything like me, plucking makes you crazy. I cannot even see the mirror through the tears in my eyes! But I am a bit intimidated by facial hair creams. All I got in high school from using them was a red blister on my upper lip. Honestly I probably would have rather had the girlstache …

Fortunately hair removal creams are not now what they were in high school. Used to be, they were smelly and full of harsh chemicals. Now using one is like aromatherapy. Of course, you still need to be careful.

Use these tips to make sure you get the best results possible from your facial hair remover:

1. Do a test first. Before you put any cream on your face, try a little on your wrist. If you notice burning or develop a rash then call a halt to the process. A very small glob should be enough to test with.

2. Watch for herbal ingredients. To “melt” hair away, you need chemicals. Herbal extracts can help skin bounce back from chemical exposure. Heavy moisturizers and natural ingredients tend to make the facial hair removal process go more smoothly.

3. Select something with scent. You probably clearly remember the stench of that stinky cream that people used to remove leg hair. That smell was nothing but chemicals. Now you can eliminate the odor or at least mask it with fragrance. This can save you a severe allergic reaction – and a strange sneeze splatter! Unless you can’t take artificial fragrances, opt for the scented stuff.

4. Do not do your entire face at once. Take it slow with putting the cream on your face. Always start out with the eyebrow area. It is not nearly as sensitive as the upper lip area. If your brows show no signs of irritation then you can move on to the lip or chin areas.
